Sue Hasler
When we meet, please don't mention rhubarb. Even today I shudder remembering my 'A' level art exam: five hours doing a pen and ink drawing of a single stick of rhubarb.
Thirty six years later, after enjoying worldwide travel and working in areas from finance to fashion, politics to philanthropy and an early career in the Royal Navy, I finally returned to art. I have no formal art school training but courses with an inspirational local tutor combined with time to play with colour and texture result in today's pictures.
I struggle to define my style: to me my paintings are as the 'Curate's Egg". To those who have acquired a picture, thank you, your enthusiasm motivates and inspires my painterly meanderings.
