Peter Hayes
Peter had a career in local newspaper publishing in south London, and latterly in general printing in Kent.
Having been a keen artist in his youth, he returned to painting in middle age, when he also joined the Tadworth Art Group. He has been a member of TAG for over 20 years and is now it’s Chairman.
Barry Watkin, renowned pastel artist, established the group thirty-nine years ago and its thirty-five members meet weekly in Tadworth to paint and develop their skills. The Group holds both a summer and winter exhibition annually.
Peter’s principle medium is pastels, producing both landscapes and seascapes, in many cases with a continental theme focusing on sunlight and shade.
He also produces portraits and also works in oils and watercolour on a variety of subjects, including an area of particular interest, automotive art.
